Location Data
Location data is central to Tsono's functionality. Here's how we handle it:
- Active Sharing Only: We only collect your location when you join or create a ride. When you leave a ride or close the app, location tracking stops immediately.
- Shared with Your Group: Your location is shared in real-time with other riders in your current ride group—no one else.
- Retention: Real-time location data is not permanently stored. Ride summaries (start/end points, duration) may be retained for Premium users who opt into ride history.
- No Background Tracking: We do not track your location in the background when you're not actively using Tsono.
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in these circumstances:
- With Your Ride Group: Your location and signals are shared with riders who are part of your current ride.
- Service Providers: We work with third-party services (hosting, analytics) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, your information may be transferred to the new entity.
